Due to the lack of depth o f field, it may be difficult or impossible to identify protruding objects or recesses in the road, for example. x Things like thin rods, fences, posts, and trees may not be detected by the camera and could damage the vehicle. Area View Fig. 275 Display of the Area View: Bird’s eye view. ¤ Please first read and note the introductory information and heed the WARNINGS on page 442. There are 4 different camera views ⇒ fig. 275: (A) Front camera area. (B) Right camera area. (C) Rear camera area. (D) Left camera area. A bird's eye view L is created by showing all camera views. The bird’s eye view can be selected by tapping the vehicle within the area ⇒ fig. 276 (A). Select the different camera views by tapping the individual areas in the bird's eye view (A) to (D) or mini bird's eye view ⇒ fig. 276 (A). Camera views x Bird’s eye view: For an all-round view of the vehicle L, also for off-road driving S. The bird’s eye view is shown on the full screen . x Front View: To see cross-traffic in front of the vehicle I, for forward perpendicular parking J, when approaching an obstacle, and for off-road driving N. x Side View: To see the area to the immediate left P or right Q of the vehicle, for parking, or for off- road driving O. x Rear View: To see cross-traffic behind the vehicle H, for reverse perpendicular parking K, for reverse parallel parking M and when hitching up a trailer to the vehicle R. The selected individual camera view is displayed on the right-hand side of the screen ⇒ fig. 276 (B). It is marked by a colored frame in the mini bird's eye view ⇒ fig. 276 (A) shown on the left. In addition, the available menu options and possible camera views (referred to as “modes”) for the corresponding camera are shown on the right-hand side of the screen ⇒ fig. 276 (D). The view (mode) that is currently active is marked.
