COOLINGSYSTEM Donotcarryoutfurtherdismantlingif RADIATOR componentisremovedforaccessonly. Service repair no - 26.40.01 Remove 1. Drain cooling system. See Adjustments. 2. Removefrontgrille. See BODY, Exterior fittings. 3. Removealternator. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs. 10. Removeboltsecuring cooling fan multiplug to radiator. 11. Remove4boltssecuringcooling fan to radiator andremovecoolingfan. 12. Align cooling fan to radiator, fit bolts and tighten to 7 Nm. 13. Position cooling fan multiplug to radiator, fit bolt andtighten to 7 Nm. Refit 1. Position radiator in vehicle. 2. Align radiator to lower mountings. 4. Loosen clip and disconnect top hose from3. Fit upper mounting brackets to radiator and radiator. align to bonnet locking platform. 5. Disconnect radiator cooling fan multiplug from4. Fit bolts securing radiator upper mounting harness. brackets to bonnet locking platform and tighten 6. Remove4boltssecuring2upperradiator to 9 Nm. mounting bracket to bonnet locking platform.5. Connect cooling fan multiplug to harness. 7. Remove2upperradiatormountingbrackets.6. Connect top hose to radiator and tighten clip. 8. Release radiator from lower mountings.7. Fit alternator. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs. 9. Removeradiator from vehicle. 8. Fit front grille. See BODY, Exterior fittings. 9. Refill cooling system. See Adjustments. 4 REPAIRS REVISED:12/96
