A booster seat with a
height-adjustable seatback and a
belt guide are recommended as this
will allow the belt to be worn as
close to the base of the neck as
possible but not on it.
Placethe headrestin the top
position to allow you to press the
seat back of the child seat firmly
against the vehicle seat back.
If a booster seat without a seatback
is used, the vehicle's headrest will
have to be adjusted to suit the
child's stature; the upper edge of the
headrest must be at the same height
3 as the top of the child's head and
Category 2 (15 to 25 kg) and should never be lower than in line
category 3 (22 to 36 kg) with the child's eyes.
It is preferable to use seats which
can be combined with a three-point
seat belt to restrain the pelvis of a
child aged up to 12 or of a height of
1.44 m. This is a booster seat (figure
3)withbeltguidestoensurethatthe The standard classifies the child
belt will be worn flat over the thighs restraints in five categories:
