INFORMATION Manualgearboxmodels Usethefront lashing/towing eye (1) for towing the car on all four wheels from the front. WARNING:Toensurethatthesteering doesnotlockwhenthecarisbeingtowed, it is essential that the starter key is turned to position ’I’, and remains there while the car is moving. Ensurethefollowingprecautionsareobserved: Donottowifthegearboxoradriveshaftis faulty. Donottowifawheelordriveshaftsaretouching the body or frame. Ensurethegearleverisinneutralandthe handbrakeisreleased. Rememberthatgreatereffortthannormalwillbe necessarytoapplythebrakesifthecarisbeing towedwithouttheenginerunning. Automaticgearboxmodels Whenacarwithanautomaticgearboxistobe towed, a suspended tow must be used because the gearbox is not adequately lubricated without the engine running. The following precautions must be observed: Theselector must be at ’N’. CAUTION:Arearsuspendedtowmustnot beattemptedasseriousdamagewillbe causedtotheautomatictransmission.
