1991 Volvo Coupe Changing oil filter Replace the oil filter at every oil change. pg. 95 Engine oil (cont.) Oil quality Meeting API specification SG Oil with designation SG/CD comply with these requirements. Viscosity (stable ambient temperatures): SAE 15W/40 is recommended for use in driving conditions that raise oil temperature and increase oil consumption (i.e., mountain driving; trailer towing). NOTE: SAE 15W/40 must not be used at ambient temperatures below 5°F (-15° C). Volvo recommends the use of energy-conserving oils. Look for the API label.
